ADMIT RESPONSIBILITY

Responding to a traffic ticket (civil infractions): All civil infraction citations are due within 14 days of the date on the citation. If you fail to pay or fail to request a court appearance within 14 days, you will be subject to late fees and possible suspension of your license.

Before you come to Court to pay the ticket: It normally takes 24-48 hours from the time you received the ticket before the court has received a record of the ticket from the police department. Please wait at least 24 hours before coming to court to pay. If you are coming in person to pay during regular business hours, please bring your copy of the ticket with you.

If you would like to admit responsibility and pay your ticket you should: Turn your ticket over and under the section that reads “Admit Responsibility” check the charges that you would like to admit to and sign your name.

Paying at the Court during regular business hours: Bring the Ticket to the Court Clerks Office (first floor of the County Building, at the blue counter) and tell the clerk at the window that you wish to plead responsible and hand the clerk your ticket. You will be expected to pay the ticket in full at that time. Most fines and costs are listed at Civil Infraction/Traffic Fees Table on our website.

We accept cash, in-county personal check, money order, Visa, Mastercard or Debit card. After hours tickets may be paid on Official Payments. Please note that if you are paying with a credit card a $5.95 convenience fee is charged.

Paying the ticket after regular business hours:
Please view Pay a Ticket on our website.
